  • Darn it got the digital version on the PS3 for full price - I wonder if my AMEX card purchase protect will cover this price reduction…?

    EDIT: Nope

They must have taken it off. The first banner on the hompage had the link to the page. It also had a small banner on the right hand side with a link to the Square Enix Sale which had the same prices as the US PSN Store but has also been removed.

    • Your screenshot is from the US store. Even though the URL is not shown, the US and Aus store have different layouts, that is clearly the US store.

  • US store has it for $59.99. Not sure why they removed the AU listings.

    • Probably should change the title then…

    • They never removed it, you have clicked on a US store link and when you signed in the store automatically took you to your AU accounts correct store.

This has always been the price. No deal.

    • Exactly, this is regular price, as is the Guardian Edition you will find on the US store. Nothing special, just normal pricing.

    • I don't understand how DriveClub is going to work, there's a free version for all PSN+ subscribers, then there's a $50+ version, then there's a season pass for $30. Is the PSN+ version the same as the $50 version? Does the $50 version include the Season Pass? If you have PSN+ and you get the game for free, then buy a season pass, are you getting the same game as someone who buys it for $50?

Probably the wrong place for this ;)

      • PS+ version is a watered down game, I believe it has 1 location with different tracks inside that location and a handful of cars.

I don't think the PS+ version has any special features other than a free demo, so pre ordering the game gets you the game. Buying the season pass aswell which costs $30 I believe, gets you monthly updates for cars, tracks and other stuff. Without the season pass you get a bit of free DLC.

A little google answered my question, you are a little off the mark:

PSN+ version is more than a demo, it has all drive modes, a large range of tracks and a bunch of free cars (http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/05/07/whats-included-dri… shows more detail)
You can't buy the Season Pass for the PSN+ version, you need to buy the full version THEN the Season pass

To get the full game, you need to buy the retail (full) version, there is no upgrade path from PSN+ version to Full+Season Pass

What this boils down to is that you can play the game for free, pretty much fully features, and you will even get access to the free content as it's released. The other tier of content comes with the Full game, then the Season Pass adds a bunch of extra content.

This diagram explains it pretty well:

          So off topic, sorry.

        • @Scratch2k: Anyways the psn + version will let you decide on spending the cash on it or not. :-)

  • Dont forget that if you but digital for either the PS3 or Xbox 360 you get a free copy for PS4 or XBone respectively

  • This is the regular price for most digital games on the US store.

    • Exactly. Not a deal.

  • Obviously some confusion here, this is retail price in the us store.
