What are DVDs?
Something that looks terrible on a 1080p panel.
Depends on how well they're authored. Some DVDs look fantastic on my LCD where as some blurays look pretty awful in comparison.
My blurry does a good job of up scaling

not really a deal as theres many apps for free. Sure this ones free too but so are many others.

i remember as a kid using apps like dvd shrink to rip dvds and then convert them so I could watch them on my ipod video
