  • Is t dimension more reliable than kogan?

About $10 more you get local stock from msy, this was two weeks ago not sure now

    • i think they're back up to $349

  • Not a bad deal. Seems all trying to clear the Sony xperia stock:)….

  • Stock is becoming scarce - MSY were selling these for $299 but they're out of stock now with no more coming

    • when were they ever $299 from MSY?

  • As this is not Google Play Edition, is there any KitKat 4.4 ROM for this?

    • It seems that Sony has rolled out KitKat for this phone: http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-z…

Can anyone using this phone confirm that? Thank you.

      • can confirm, been on 4.4.x for like 2-3 months now.

      • Yep 4.4.4 came out via OTA update a few days after the Nexus 5. I was extremely impressed with the update speed

    • Cheers, thanks for your info.

  • 10.5.1.A.0.283 is the current version running KitKat 4.4 for Xperia Z. I received notification of the update a few days ago.

Note that Sony won't be releasing any further updates for this phone. I can't seem to find the link where I read this but I believe it was announced a few days ago.

    • I believe you may be confusing recent announcements for the Xperia L, M, C, And SP models regarding software updates as I can find no mention of Z series ceasing to receive updates at the moment.

    • most sources are saying that the ultra should get Android L

  • i really want to see this phone and play for few minutes before committing, too bad none of my friend own.
anyone near wynyard/martin place sydney kind enough to meet and lend me? :)

If you can't find a physical model try playing about with a 7" tablet and treat it like you would a phone.

FWIW I find the Ultra to be too big for my own use although not enough to immediately swap it for another model.

    • More info on the phone on my blog http://xperiazultra.weebly.com
Had the phone for nearly a year and love it although just bought a Oneplus one to replace it.

    • i agree with your disappointment about most pens not working, but have you tried a proper stylus? i have an adonit jot, with the circular end piece taken off, and it works great

      • I've to the Jot as well but it defeats the purpose. I do seem to remember that it worked well when I first got my phone but perhaps software updates have changed things. I've got the stylus as part of my CP12 power cover anyway and that works fine.

  • Cheap. If I didn't already have a Z1, I'd be all over this…

  • Is the celebrate15 code still valid? Thought it ended yesterday?

    • was extended to today

    • Extended for 24 hours supposedly

  • But… it's 6.4" FFS!
This is really a tablet isn't it?

    • IMHO, 6" & up = Phablet (phone/tablet).

  • Thanks trent86. Ordered one. Let's hope it does justice to all those glowing reviews. My 1st phablet and waterproof phone. Couldn't resist, dang it. Lol.

Oh and thanks to Julz, too.
