  • Does anyone know where Sheridan products are manufactured? I can't justify paying the prices they want for their products unless they're made here.

    • I think it varies on the product, but I could be wrong.

    • Yeah an $80 towel better be made by Tibetan monks or Aussie workers. Wow this stuff is pricy

It's much cheaper to buy home brand products at Target or similar stores—their sheet sets are about $15, not $100. I was a fool buying from Sheridan…

        • It depends. Sheridan sheet sets can easily last 10 years, Target on the other hand …

        • I don't know much about sheets. I find fitted sheets last a year or two. No matter which brand I buy.

        • I agree, as someone that previously bought only Sheridan, and now half sheridan (6 quilt covers) and rest Target or Myer, current Sheridan quality is similar particularly for the "higher thread" count Target.

If you want high quality stuff you prob need to buy David Jones

And these sales are kinda fake or just their standard pricing, I buy a lot of my stuff from this factory outlet. That garmond cover for example I bought for $69 3 months back for king size and free shipping for over $100 spend, pretty average quality (kinda like ikea or target feel).

    • I thought Sheridan's been made in china for a while now

We bought some king size sheets and were a little underwhelmed with the quality. Not bad but don't look at the RRP of the items. Sheridan is part of Pacific Brands, so the same as Bonds. The quality which the name stood for probably no longer matches up.

    • My towels bought 18 months ago are made in India. The doona cover (bought only a few months ago) is made in China. They're good quality IMO.

Nice work OP! Got a heap of Sheridan stuff from the last Outlet sale but needed more. Not sure where it's made and I'm sure it has dropped in quality since it was 100% Australian however it's still seems streets ahead of other similar priced products from what I've found. Clean, crisp feeling sheets with a tight weave even after many uses & washes and without any pilling at all!

  • Pillow cases $15 :-)

A lot of Sheridan sheets are cheaper delivered from England, e.g.
    http://www.thehut.com/bed-linen/sheridan-reilly-fitted-sheet…

That's a queen-size fitted sheet for 28 GBP = just over AU$50 (via 28 Degrees credit card or similar). Cheaper than Sheridan factory outlet here.

    However, there are catches:
    - TheHut don't have a huge range of styles.
    - the choice of colours is quite small, often just one colour for some styles
    - you'll be waiting a month for the delivery
    - English bed sizes are different, e.g. Australian queen size = English "king" size.

Measure your mattress first, all of TheHut's webpages for sheets have a "view size guide" button which gives you the dimensions in cm. I think English "Super King" is the same as Australian "king size", but check the measurements yourself.

I have bought the English "king" size fitted sheets, and they fit just fine on Australian queen-size mattresses. The "official" measurements on Wikipedia suggest there may be a 3cm difference in some measurements, but I couldn't tell the difference from an Australian-bought queen-size fitted sheet. Perhaps both are the same product, just given different labels in different countries?

  • Their 1000tc cotton sheets last a maximum of 2-3 years if used regularly. Definitely wouldn't buy them at full price (or even half price) but for under $100 they would be okay.
