• Rather annoyed they no longer do pick ups, but I think they are going to re-introduce it.

• $89 rebate too! Expires 30 Oct 2009 (see http://www.shopacer.com.au/ecprod/ACA/Projects/CashBack/Load…)

So this is $460pp after rebate. So tempted.

• The rebate only applies if this trader is on their "authorised" list!!!
Don't assume,, else you may get burnt…

• Looks like PC Case Gear is not an authorised seller of Acer products :(
Others like CPL or centrecom have this (or the 751H) at a huge diffrence in price.
CPL's price is $669 AFTER a $79 cashback.

• Officeworks stock the 751 model - not sure if its exactly the same - but if so, you should be able to get it price matched and beaten by 5% of what these guys are charging including shipping.
Where's the list of authorised sellers? Didn't see anything from that link above.

• Officeworks stock it but their label it as AOD751HX and wil tell you its a different model to AOD751H

• The Officeworks one is weird.
Never heard of an Intel Atom N250 (1.33Ghz) CPU.
I think its the Z520 but its a typo.
I wouldn't be suprised if the typo is how OW gets out of pricematching :(

Still, the PC Case Gear price is great and you get the 6-cell battery :)

And here's where you search for Acer's dealer list:
http://www.acer.com.au/acer/buy.do?LanguageISOCtxParam=en&ct…

• Thank you - was looking for the authorised dealer list.

• Checked with Acer and they don't apparently they don't require it to be from an 'authorised' seller:

Thank you for your enquiry, as long as your purchase is valid for one of our cashback promotions your claim can proceed. Please be aware however that if a previous claim has been registered for this item you will need to consult your store.

So just need to make sure that they're selling the correct model numbers

• "…if a previous claim has been registered for this item you will need to consult your store…"
I believe that Acer are letting you know that the merchant may in fact have already claimed the cash-back as a purchaser.
This has been alluded to in previous threads discussing deals on Acer equipment, hence the comments on "Authorised Dealers".

• to make a claim, you need to send in the cutout of the barcode from the box.
surely these PC Case Gear guys aren't that dodgey to be sending you a box with a hole in it o.0

• Very true - it would be a bit obvious you'd think…
