Unlimited-Space.com - $9 Australian Domain Names (.com.au & .net.au) **SALE ON NOW**

300

Hi Everyone,

We have a fantastic Australian domain name special coming up in September.

You can register a new .com.au or .net.au domain name for just $9!

This is a massive saving on our normal price and it's far cheaper than any of our competitors. This special price is available with, or without a hosting plan.

You will need to be quick to get your discounted domain! We're only selling 700 domains at this special price. As soon as we've done 700, the prices go back to normal.

Your domain will be registered for 2 years. After 2 years you can choose to renew it with us at our normal price, transfer to another provider, or let it expire. It's up to you.

Remember, there are eligibility requirements on .au domains, so check the details on the Domain Registration page on our website.

The sale starts at 11:30 AM on Tuesday the 1st of September 2009.

Cheers,

Lee Gaywood

Fantastic price! Under cost? my .net.au will be snaffled up! :)

    • Yes, this price is well below cost.

    • I think the wholesale price for .com.au/.net.au is around $19.25/2 years for the registrars. Unlimited-Space.com is a reseller so there's another layer of cost. I'll say it is well under cost.

      Good sale though :)

  • Can we transfer in existing .com.au / .net.au domains at this price or is it only newly registered domains?

    • Sorry, it's limited to new registrations only, due to a limitation in our billing system.

  • So that means the domain name will be valid for 24 months and we pay only 9 bucks for all that time?

    • +2

      Correct.

It's $9 for 2 years registration. (or $4.50 per year, or $0.375 per month)

      • -2

or $0.0864 per week? or $0.0123 per day?

    • Thats correct.

But after the 2 years make sure you renew your domain with unlimited-space again so they can make some money from you otherwise there will be less incentive to offer new promotions

  • cheers, I'll be grabbing two domains!

  • If I sign up now… and register for my domainname on the sale day… I'll still qualify for the $9??

    • If you sign up for a web hosting account today (without a domain) and then register the domain on Tuesday, you will still get the domain for $9.

  • Do I have to own a business to register an Australian domain name?

    • You need an ABN to get a .com.au

    • See the current auDA policy. In general, you can register .com.au/.net.au if you have an ABN, ACN, ARBN, have a registered business name or have a trade mark.

      • You can register for an ABN at:

        www.abr.gov.au

The good thing is that you can get allocated a ABN, & get a Domain Name. The ATO may deregister you later, but you still get to keep your domain name (unless someone dobs you in to AUDA).

  • Sounds like a good deal. How much is it to have hosting + domain name for 2 years?

    • There is a menu at the top left of their website called "Web hosting"
Pick the plan you want, multiply the 2 year monthly price by 24 and add $9

  • sounds great… now what domain names do i need?!

  • ANTHONY:

When does this sale end? Date & time, please.

    • "The sale starts at 11:30 AM on Tuesday the 1st of September 2009."

We’re only selling 700 domains at this special price. As soon as we’ve done 700, the prices go back to normal

      From the description.

      • That's right. The sale will run for as long as it takes to sell 700. I'm expecting that to be around 24 to 48 hours. It's very hard to know, though.

    • Once 700 domains are sold.

  • For people that want to have their domain for a very longtime, I think you'll be better off buying a domain name that has cheaper renewal fees.
Cheapest atm is $25 for 2years against $39

I think you should focus on the long-term fees associated with the domain names.

Please, do your research before committing to Buy, if you plan to hold-on to it for more than 2years.

I did learn the hardway, and would encourage anyone interested to shop around.

    • It's more true with the gTLD (.com/.net/.org etc), but with .au domains, you can easily transfer the domains out as you can obtain the key directly from auDA.

Therefore there is no need of loyalty here. If you don't like the service after two years — transfer it out! And it's easy & won't cost you anything (no forced 1 year renewal like the .com/.net/.org when you transfer).

    still a good bargin!!

  • there are no other on going costs or fees?… only $9 for the full 24mths for the domain name

    • only $9 for the full 24mths for the domain name

      Correct

While I probably won't be getting one, this is a fantastic deal, well done!

  • Is the offer still available and do I require an ABN to register an .au domain name (I believe my friends have them, but didn't require an ABM) perhaps I'm wrong.

Really keen on grabbing a domain :)

  • This sale starts in about 35 minutes. Don't miss out!

  • Brilliant - just got 2 .com.au for my company. When we get around to actually setting up the websites, more than likely we'll use your company too, to support traders who give good deals! Thanks.

    • Thanks for your support! :)

  • As I mentioned in an earlier comment, we expect the 700 domains to take around 24 hours to be sold. If you are considering a web hosting plan with your domain, you still have time to have a look at the plans before placing your order.

FYI - Nearly all of those who ordered a hosting plan with their $9 domain have gone for the Business Starter plan.

    Cheers,

    Lee

  • I still haven't received successful confirmation that the domains have been registered, despite getting the invoices. it's been 4 hours :(

    • Send an email to [email protected] and we will see what's happening.

      Lee
