  agreed, slim apparently consume 50% less in a proper test. the $100 saving would come back in your electric bill eventually.

      Yeah, its true. But I think it takes good 30years to save $100 on electricity bill with that difference.

        Well it depends how long you have it on for each day. If you power up(not standby) the Slim ps3 24/7 for a year it would cost ~$125. For the PS3 fat the figure would be more like ~$260. A whopping $135 saving in the first year!!!

        In standby, consumption for the same period would be around 0.40cents (slim) $1.20 (fat).

        This is based of 0.15kW/h.

  I've seen this price around quite a few times at GAME and EBGAMES. So nothing too special right now.
