As you would have guessed prices have dropped for iPhone 5c/5s versions at some Aussie retailers already. Apple themselves are now selling iPhone 5s 16GB FOR $749 AND 32GB FOR $799, The 5c 16GB is now $529 and the 32GB is $569. These prices are also @ officeworks as of today.
So on Wknd you could get a good price on them @ ebay with 15% off

Will this translate to better plans for these phones? My wife needs a new phone (still on iphone 4) and I know with her lack of desire to learn anything new system wise that it is better to keep her with an iphone. Something like the 5c or 5s would be just right for her, better faster phone with imporved camera, but same operating system she knows and likes.
Best I have seen recently is Virgin doing the 5c 32GB for $55 per month with their triple data (1.5GB) offer. Is anything better likely to emerge in the near term?
Still way too much, I'm sure better deals are available. iPhone 6+ will be $999 and only still offer a lousy 16gb of storage, what a joke for 2014.
Far out, still over priced. S3 is better, but if you're going to get a phone, S5, HTC M8 or LG G3 is the way to go.
Why would you purchase the last gen version model for like $100 less? Resale price is also a lot lower.
