How does it compare to the GTX Titan?
in my quick look around, seems this is better.
How does it compare to the GTX Titan?
The Titan Z comprehensively loses to the 295X2, despite costing $1500 more (at least at launch it did, now it's $2000 more).
It's slower-clocked than even the GTX 780 Ti and unlike the 295X2 doesn't feature an integrated water-cooling solution. The only conceivable reason you could want a Titan Z is for is all that VRAM (12GB), which could possibly help with 4K gaming or rendering with things like 3ds Max (keyword: possibly).
Titan Z oddly enough isn't as much a gaming card as a desktop/workstation card. It has more computational power for rendering and such (as you mentioned).
780Ti is the gaming variation.
Its a bit odd how Nvidia has gone about it all.
What sort of PC specs would you need to run this beast for gaming?
Power supply wise you would need a good 850 + watt power supply.
Owwww. Right in the wallet.
This price is temporary:
An AMD spokesperson told us that the price will start appearing at various e-tailers sometime this week or early next week. The promotion is temporary, although we don't know for how long.
If you wanted a 295X2 for "cheap" while it's still relevant, this is about as cheap as it's going to get until it's Pirate Islands (Rx 3xx series) successor launches next year.
Is this card ok for angry birds?
If you CrossFire maybe but you will have to play on low…
Not so sure about Angry birds but I have seen this doing at least 60 FPS on Flappy Bird on medium setting.
Can confirm I get 60 FPS on Silkworm with this card as well, On Very high with full AA. Big upgrade from my 3DFX Voodoo 2.
Mate, my s3 virge gives that a run for the money.
Took out my whip just in case…
