Cheapest Data Sim

Hi All,

I am seeing if anyone has come across a better deal on a data sim than I have.

What I am after is a sim card that has a decent amount of data on it (between 1-2GB per month) with no contracts and a long expiry.
It doesn't need any phone calls or anything else other than data, bonus points if it works in the Telstra Elite 3G device that was on sale previously. (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/156237)

I will be using it mostly in a Nexus 7 tablet that has a sim slot (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/154724) a Samsung Galaxy S2 and occasionally a laptop.
I am happy to use the phone or the tablet as the hot spot as required.

The best deals that I have come across are:

  1. Telstras Prepaid sim card although it has gone up in price recently it seems (http://www.telstra.com.au/tablets/prepaid-for-tablets/)

  2. Amaysim isn't very clear but it looks to be $99.90 for their offering (http://www.amaysim.com.au/mobile-plans/amaysim-mobile-broadb…)

Has anyone found better?

    This might be of interest to you if you have good reception from voda…

    Actually most 2GB plans start round $20/month mark…

      unfortunately they seem to be a sim on a plan.
      Using that site it looks as though Amaysim may be the best value?

    im on the woolworths (now optus) still its $26 with 5gb and $500 credit but charged in large increments of usage with is the sneaky catch,

    make sure you compare the data usage and whether is does upload and download or has free site like facebook etc as this can affect the usage

      Thanks for that but it looks like the woolies sim is a mobile and data combined plan but only 45 day expiry
