        Munich… Jawohl !!

        • What, they are only half filled these days? No wonder she can handle 10 of them instead of the maximum 8 they used to manage.

        • Yeah, there's a few short pours there!

Doesn't look much like Oktoberfest - just a drunken festival with the odd dirndl.

Also, the bogans/filth will have a much better chance of attending this versus organizing enough to get overseas.

You've obviously never been to the Aussie-Kiwi Beer Tent at the Munich Oktoberfest !!!

      • You know why there's an Aussie-Kiwi beer tent? Coz the locals think we're a pack of teetotalling dheads and don't want to drink with us!!!
And let's be honest, they're right. A couple of drinks in and we tend to do some down right crazy shite at the festivals! But… We're here for a good time, not a long time!

Been to it a few times. Oktoberfest has to at least have the oomph music (or German pop) going, not some cover band singer you'd expect to see in a local venue.

But then, if everybody does get smashed, I guess they don't notice the difference.

As for the HB tent - I honestly don't get why people bother to travel to the other side of the world if they want to get drunk with other Aussies. Many other better tents.

Yes, the prices are competitive… compared to city night clubs!
Don't want you getting your expectations too high here… I've got a few of them already sitting in the bottom of a box because they're only plastic!

Edit: When you head in there, if you really want to prove how good a drinker you are… take a marker in with you, tie it to the handle, and make a mark for every stein you down! Prost!

This is one thing that irks me - it's not a 'stein', it's a 'krug.' A litre krug is 'mass' (pronounced 'muss'). A stein is a mug made of stone (which is the literal translation of stein).

      • Yep, for which I have from Praha!

      • It's Jake the Muss!!!
