Did James Halliday actually give the vintage advertised 95 points or is this just more marketing stretch - he gave one vintage 95 therefore we can use his name for every production year?
I'm a bit suspicious of the 'special value' ratings. It's like 95 considering what you paid for it, rather than 95 relative to other wines that are out there.
Halliday always rated aussie wine with screw caps higher than others and he sometimes re-taste again few years later just to see if the wine is going in the same direction as what he wrote before.
