+1 for the heads up. Appreciated.
Hi Stig Thanks for your comment I can definitely see where your coming from. It appears the products you have found are bargains;) However we most certainly don't order our products from China or Ebay. We source reliable manufacturers who supply us with only the best quality products and whose supply turn arounds are several days not several weeks or months. Even though in pictures they may appear to look the same I can assure you the quality is VERY different. But its great you have your homework:)
However we most certainly don't order our products from China.
I don't mean to sound mean or anything, but genuinely curious where you do source them if they're certainly not from China? Are they Australian made?
Again, I don't mean to sound critical (just yet). stig has a good point with evidence, but we all know how good China are at copying genuine, unique products to point where they're practically indistiguishable from the real thing :) But… at $4 a pop for your charms, versus $1 per piece from China… it's harder to believe yours aren't sourced from the same place considering the price difference.
Your alphabet charms vs ebay's charms (note certain letters being identical… K, G, etc for comparison)
Your pink love heart labelled 'E' in this pic versus ebay top left corner.
Your tree charm in labelled 'B', versus ebay second row, second from left… and the diamonte butterfly in both lists.
Yours are all easily found on eBay. Shame, since I really did like the products on your site and had kept them in mind from previous deals you've posted.
You don't sound mean at all. ;) I am a cautious purchaser myself and also do my research before making purchases so that is totally understandable that you also like to do so. It is only through experience sometimes that you can experience 1st hand the quality of a product (as we too have done) so i am more than happy to encourage to you to take up the Ebay bargains - you may be quite happy with them. We set ourselves a high standard of quality and want nothing less for our customers so after seeing the quality of these products first hand we don't feel happy selling them onto our customers even if it means we could be the most competitive on the market. For example we have seen a locket from a Chinese manufacturer and the magnets used in these are a very poor quality and some don't even stay shut. Our lockets have lovely secure good quality magnets in them and would never fall open so your charms would fall out. We also don't feel comfortable knowing we are buying from countries where child labour may be involved :( We ensure our suppliers are Ethical Suppliers and where ever possible that we are supporting our own Australian suppliers and our own Economy.
It's amazing how similar your $10 disc looks to one of these $1 ones on eBay… also your $30 locket is pretty much identical to this $4.30 one.
I don't oppose this sort of thing (in fact, I've thought of doing it myself), but I justed wanted OzBargainers to be aware that not everything on your site is a bargain.
