Kogan has dropped the price of the Sony Xperia Z2 to $500, the same price as the eBay 5 minute mega deal last week.
This phone is a grey import and includes a generic AU/NZ charger and adapter.

I really don't understand why this guy is being negged.
hmmm not really worth it for a grey import.
$597 at TGG for AUS stock, 2 year warranty and if you can claim back the GST then it bridges gap significantly
I'm considering a Nexus 5 16GB presently… Wondering what justifies the $100 price difference?
A Camera that's capable of 4k, 1080p 60fps recording, microSD slot, water resistance, 3200mAh battery, and 3 gigs of RAM.
Here's a 4k video sample.

There are rumors Sony will be announcing a new one with curved sensor shortly that is probably why the cheaper price to clear them?
The Z3?
I'm also considering that but is it worth it to buy a 'new' flagship that 'still' uses the Snapdragon 801?
I would, the difference will not make enough difference to be noticed under normal use.
Got my Z2 today from the eBay Kogan 5-min deal. Original expected delivery date was 2nd to 3rd week of Sept so it's nice to get it early :-). Also came with the magnetic charging dock which was a pleasant surprise together with a cheapie Sony earphone, usb-microusb cable, Au usb wall charger, the original HK plug and an Australian adaptor :-). So far so good!
I bought the Telstra version at launch, great phone however has issues with reception - drops cellular connectivity at least once a day for a short period.
