    MASSIVE WARNING: for those who are choosing click and collect. use a credit card as it seems that all DJS store aus wide apparently had a recall (not sure if theres a problem for these, this was the only explanation i got) and if it shows instock its not actually instock online. i just got a called from my local DJs and they cant do anything about the order besides offering me a giftcard in return because i paid with Paypal. zzz fail DJs.

      MASSIVE WARNING: for anyone considering accepting store credit. You shouldn't have to under consumer law. Under Australian Consumer Law it's also illegal for a business misrepresent your rights and tell you that store credit is your only option when they don't have stock.

      IANAL, but this looks pretty clear to me.

          The option of store credit would only apply to change of mind returns. The store is not legally obliged to legally refund your money in this case unless they have said that they allow this. Where they cannot provide you with the product you've purchased then you should get a full refund, it's braking the law to tell you that you are only entitled to credit, regardless of what the terms of sale say or they claim you agreed to. These are rights that you cannot waive.

          Don't get scammed into accepting store credit. What if you lose the gift card? What if there is nothing for a good price that you want to buy? Store specific Gift Cards are worth less than cash IMO.

    I just called them, and if you got charge in you CC, it is just pending transaction, it will be back into you account in 2-5 business day.

      I tried JB as well but they refused straight away. They were not even willing to check the offer or if it is in stock.

    hey guys managed to get my refund from DJs (with alot of complaning, and the innocent plea) and i also got JB HIFI to price match the Bose MIE2i. all i had to do was show them that it was "in stock" on the website (as its still currently showing) and proceeded to final checkout where it also showed free delivery. hope this helps everyone!

        JB CBD stores are really tight on price matching as it affects their personal commission. They will always bullshit and tell people that they can't drop the price any lower, no JB will price match etc etc…. always go to a quiet suburban store, they will always do business with you.

    Tried Bose qc15 but out of stock online. Went to local Myer for price match. Was advise $239 was below cost ($399 on Myer online) and offered $270. Accepted happily and waiting for it to be shipped to my local store for collection. Thanks OP.

        Yesterday, rang DJ at 10 and was told that it will be dispatched in the day, no tracking notice till 3.30 so rang and spoke to the same person who said that I would get a tracking notice. Sent off a query using their contact us link and same person rang back at 5.40 saying that they are trying to get in touch with Dick Smith to find out about the order. So, either they have run out of stock or its on its way………… has anyone got theirs yet?

          Starting to sound like Dick Smith are going to screw up David Jones reputation, just like they did their own. The delivery estimates are overdue now, and no one has received even a dispatch notice, let alone any communication regarding a delay. The rep seems to have disappeared too.

    On my cc account it appears though they put the amount of the earphones on hold even though my order didn't go. It's been almost two weeks and they still haven't released the amount..

      Call your bank. Happened to me once with a Mimco order, processed twice, one hung around for ages until I contact the bank to release the lock on the funds.
