          They may seem expensive at first, but then again there is a difference if you are buying 100% Australian Made Memory Foam Gel Mattress Toppers rather than an imported product.

          @jv: The way prices for foam works, is mostly based on the density. The higher the density the higher the price. For example, This specific foam has a density of 60kg per cubic metre, which is the most expensive foam that we sell. You can compare this to our premium mattress topper, which has a density of 28kg per cubic metre and is sold for as little $80. There are more chemicals included between the two examples as seen by the weight.

          This specific product is a memory foam compared to a standard foam, and it also includes gel particles, which adds to the price. Then there is manual labour, covers and packaging which is done differently between the two foam examples stated above.

          On ebay a queen costs $180-$200 and is poor quality (believe me, I've tried them). To pay $60 more for a locally manufactured, decent product isn't so bad.

          If you get by on a regular spring mattress then that's fine, but for people with moderate to severe back pain memory foam is a godsend. A topper is a good option if you have back aches/pain but don't want to fork out for a new, "full" memory foam mattress. If you don't need it, don't buy it and quit complaining; especially if you've had absolutely zero experience with memory foam, which I know is the case for anyone who considers it to be "just a piece of foam". If you're experiencing back aches/pains after sleeping then the asking price is more than worth it to wake up in the morning not feeling like utter sh*t.
