      I've updated the deal with the list of routes it is available on. Last time I posted one of these deals someone from Virgin requested it be removed so don't wait until the last day to book as it could be cancelled early.

      Its when you put in your dates/route…just to the left of the "find flights Greg button" there is a field " promo code"

    Actually it must be 30% off the base fare only.

    Just did a test for Per -> Melbourne. Fare went down by exactly 30%, GST obviously went down, but Passenger Service Charge Australia (QR) and Safety and Security Charge Australia (WG)stayed at the same.

    Also doesnt seem to work for sale fares. Only seems to take 30% off the full fare rather than the sale fare.

      Yes, it is 30% off the base fare only. It should still work for sale fares, the email said that it applies to Saver and Saver Lite fares which are usually the cheapest. I don't have any involvement in the creation of this code though so it might be restricted on some sale fares which just weren't mentioned in the email that went out to staff.

    Does anyone know if you pay with Virgin gift vouchers do you avoid the $7.70 credit card fee?

      The fee doesn't apply to gift vouchers however you must pay the whole booking with the gift voucher and only one voucher can be used per booking.
