Remember if you're signing up to the gold membership, you need to call Microsoft XBOX live to cancel your subscription that automatically sets itself to auto renew even if you purchase just one month xbox live gold subscription.
Unless you buy a pre paid card which can usually be gotten for about $40 from a few threads here. Much better value then buying it from your console and do not have to worry about that problem. Obviously only if you want 12 months worth and not just the one month. Pays off with 360 and xbox one as you end up with 48 games. 24 of which you keep.
Might be wrong, but I thought this was changed so you can cancel auto-renewal online yourself now?
Either way, probably best just to grab a one / three / twelve month sub instead so you're not affected by the auto-renewal (plus it's usually much cheaper)…they can be had for around $9 / $18 / $40 ;)

I'm a gold member but don't have a X360 yet. Can I still buy the game, i.e. add it to my account? I try and get this: "Sorry. Is this your first purchase? To ensure it is compatible, please sign in to Xbox LIVE using your console and try again."

I was able to do so with last months games, but im getting the same error as you for now. Hoping its addressed. I dont have a 360 but might get one down the track for some reason.

I played this on PC first…The graphics are a real step down from there. The most significant difference is the almost lack of lighting - or at least dynamic lighting on the 360 version.

For those not able to add games due to the lack of a box. Sign in on a friends console to see if that then lets you download the game later,only problem I think will be that only the 1st box gets to keep it without signing in.
Or… Use the website…
Mik if you haven't got a box yet it doesn't let you buy it on the website,that is the problem.
