Major Nelson (Microsoft/Xbox representative) have announced the free Games with Gold for Xbox 360 and Xbox One for August 2014. You can get these games free, to keep permanently, as long as you have a valid Xbox Gold subscrition for the month of August 2014.

Yeah, I don't even own an Xbox One (yet). I just get these Games with Gold for free on my account, and when I eventually buy an Xbox One, I will have a bunch of free games ready to play.

Psn free games when you are a PlayStation Plus member aren't allowed to be posted so how come it's ok for Xbox Gold, same kind of service.

I think the difference mentioned is once you 'purchase' one of these free games while subscribed to Gold, you get them on your account for life, regardless of whether you continue to pay for Gold.
PSN free games are there unless you stop paying Sony.

I enjoy me some SSZ on the ol' Steam account. Not the greatest game ever to be designed or any of that type of business but its enough for someone that is looking for some quick fast fun and doesn't like it to be too rock hard in its depth.
Not a deal if ps plus games aren't considered a deal. Xbone games are not permanent, they are a "rental" like ps plus games are.
360 games are however, which are part of the post. Dishonoured on the 360 is arguably the most notable title listed here.
(I do think the sites policy should be consistent between PSN and Xbox Live however)
The post needs to edited at a minimum as it is misleading as it doesn't differentiate between 360 and Xbone games. 1 is permanent, the other isn't.

Sorry, I don't have an Xbone, could you please clarify for me. Games for Gold for Xbone are free to play for the month or for the life of your subscription? I understand for 360 you get them forever.
Xbone games for gold are only valid for the life of your subscription. However, if you let it lapse and then resubscribe the games become active again.

You were negged because you get to keep the 360 games even if your subscription lapses, and the 360 games make up half of this deal.
No PS+ games give you ownership, whereas the Games with Gold gives you ownership of the 360 games.
Technically if you read the steam terms and conditions, you never own those games either, yet they are constantly posted.

Where can you get a good deal on live gold? EBgames.com is $89, some online site ozgamesshop.com has them for $55, Microsoft store $79.95, g2a.com has em for $50.

I used ozgameshop for a 13 month code on Friday, you need to wait for them to manually email it to you.
If you subscribe to Quickflix for a month at $10, they will give you 3 months of Gold subscription:

effectively making it $3.33/month, or $40/year (if you can get 4 Quickflix subscriptions)
If you initiate your Gold subscription strategically, then you can get more than 6 free (Xbox 360) games from your 1x 3 months subscription. Say you start on 14/8/14, you will get 2x games in Aug, 2x in Sep, 2x in Oct and 1x in Nov, making it 7 in total.
Luckily I hold off buying Crimson Dragon back during launch. I guess it's almost time for me to extend my LIVE subscription.

I played that for the memories last week as it had sat there for almost 2 years neglected. While that happened my 2 year old pulled down and destroyed my bf3 multiplayer disc. Now I'm going to wait for bf3 to become gold as I'm not paying for the same game twice. Still have bf4 to play and with bf2 bc I'm in no rush.
Wouldn't go out of my way to purchase either of these games (Xbox One), though I suppose that it is good to try new things. Wasn't expecting any AAA games.
