OK so I know a lot of people are upset that the Coles giftcard is no longer sold with the entertainment book.
But can't we just go to any woolies store and buy a Coles Myer giftcard off the shelves with our WISH giftcards? Coles Myer cards are far superior and you get the 5% discount too? Likewise, this would apply to every other giftcard eg. JB HIfi.
Seems too simple if it can be done. Has anyone else done this? Haven't heard a single person discuss this in the deals ever.

I noticed yesterday they have Myer gift cards in Woolies. Definitely not the Coles/Myer ones.

just use MeBank or ING card to buy and get 5% off. Easiest.
Myer will not let you buy a coles gift card with a Myer gift card. They are quite strict and staff are aware of the rule.
Yes you can buy gift cards with ING Orange or ME, but only for 6 months.
Ah, thanks for that. Otherwise, all you need is one store and you're set for every other store lol. ING is good of course but it only lasts for 6 months, for that reason I've yet to join because I'm not at a high spend part of my life yet (no kids/wife).
My Myers gift card was expiring but they didn't let me exchange it with new Myers card. They said a gift card cannot be used to buy another gift card.
OK what about Westfield giftcards? It says that they are accepted at over 8,000 stores. I'm assuming that Coles is one of them? Furthermore it has been confirmed that you can buy giftcards with your eWISH giftcards.
The Westfield Giftcards have a $4.95 processing fee attached to them, so if you brought a $100 vouched using the wish card, your 5% discount has then gone straight to the processing fee. Resulting with no discount after all.
Hmmm that's not very good. Furthermore, I just read that they are accepted at Target and Kmart but not Coles anyway. Guess there's no easy way to get them after all.

It will depend on the staff member you deal with at the checkout.
Don't pull out the Wish card until the very last minute when you are paying for your goods. Buy a couple of grocery items so it doesn't look like you are just going there to convert a gift card.
