Very few stores in Melbourne with LW-400 models. Looks like a few stores with the LW-300 model.

Apparently no stock of the LW 400 in WA 8(
so does this follow the same business model as consumer grade printers, i.e giveaway/sell the printer at/near cost price then charge full price on consumables like ink and paper? i'd prefer this label maker over an inkjet printer for one good reason, unlike inkjet cartridges a ribbon cartridge doesn't have an expiry date!

Can't justify racing to store, fending off other OzBargainers, haggling over price, showing them this deal, just to put in a drawer with other "bargains" gathering dust. I slept in & had a nice stress free brekkie.
Does it not come with any Labels? Also, why is the price online still at $78 (and $38 after cashback). Is that normal for them to sell at different price online? Dont want to waste time going all the way to the store..

Success @ HN Frankston (got the last LW-400). The manager didn't know about it till I displayed above linked picture and then agreed to do it.
I'll just stick to tape and a marker pen. $25 for consumables is the killer.

Well the rebate is fine, Epson should honour that. From what I understand, the issue is that most stores aren't selling them for $40 (as that's the amount of the cash back for the LW-400)

None of these stores have any!
been to highpoint Victoria manager refuse to do it for LW-400 but agree to do it for LW-300 still have one LW-400 and about 3 LW-300.
Just came back from HN Moorabbin.
No LW-400, but about 6x LW-300 left. The price tag still says the regular $59 but the guy changed it to $30 at checkout, no questions asked other than "why is everyone suddenly onto this?!?"

No stock for the LW-400.
2 more LW-300 left as of 1pm. It's still listed @ the regular price of $40+ though. I did not ask if they'd price match it, so not too sure if they will.
Anyone know if Preson HN does LW300 at the discounted price?
I got the last LW-400 from Moorabbin Harvey Norman at about 9:30 this morning. It was the only one they had left and they had just found out from their Dandenong store about the pricing when I queried the $59 listed price tag. I don't think all stores are aware of the pricing, so you may want to ask your store to contact Dandenong to confirm pricing if you are in Vic.

Refused to price match in City West Store, WA :-(
I went into the Nunawading, Victoria store and picked up the last of the LW-300.
The store was selling it for $59. The salesman was very helpful though and spoke with his manager who agreed to sell it to $30.
They explained that it was only one store that was having that Net $0 special, but things went viral from there.
I'm now trying to get the cash back (cash back page is rejecting the serial number as either not being for this country or not for this product, so I'm liaising with Epson … label is kind of worn where the serial numbers etc are)
Did you separate the serial number letters into the first box and then the numbers into the second?
Update - Epson were very friendly and really helpful.
My serial number sticker (on the box) was badly worn, and I didn't know I was getting a character wrong.
The staff member from promotions who helped me tried out the different combinations after looking at a photo and advised me one of the "2"s was actually a "Z". :)

Does anyone know any cheap adapter cable for this machine (LW300). Epson is selling them a little over price.
I know it uses cell batteries, but i want to use it using power adapter.
