Has anybody had experience with the Concierge Service that are offered with Platinum Credit Cards ?
Is it really worthwhile or just an empty feature ?

I know a lot of people who use the Amex concierge services and say it is really great. They aren't trying to push you towards any particular business, just trying to make it easier for you to spend more money on your amex. They are also good at negotiating with other companies customer service and have many useful connections.
In saying that, I wouldn't get one of those cards just for the sake of using the concierge service. It's a nice bonus if you already have/were planning to get the card.
I've got a Coles Platinum card, which has concierge service. I'm looking to go (down) to Gold as it earns Coles FF points on non Coles transactions.
Just seeing what I might be giving up. (I suspect not that much)
Is that Amex Rewards Concierge? Looks like invite only from: http://www.americanexpress.com/australia/campaigns/mrconcier…
Don't see much other info about Concierge services on the normal website.
Was looking for specific tyres so saved time by calling the concierge and asked them to look for the cheapest in Sydney - they came back within a few business days. Yes they found a pretty good price.
