  • Ohhh..BTW…ticket purchases include a 95c processing fee. thats to cover our costs including credit card fees. thanks peeps :)

      • Sorry Muzzamo…95c on top of ticket price…

So $6 for the ticket, 95c for processing = total $6.95 payment

        • +1

Why are you listing them as $6 instead of $6.95?

        • +3

@pmupsinep: I =forget pmupsinep. no harm intented that's why I posted a comment ASAP…I'll edit the post. Just a startup trying to get a break mate…not a big business trying to hide fees :)

        • I look forward to seeing the corrected price ASAP.

While you're at it, make it an honest (read: easier to read / compare / pay) $7.

          THAT's a way to make a difference, IMO…

        • @IVI: appreciate the feedback

    • Hi,

Given that the fee is to cover your costs including "credit card" fees, why are you charging people that elect to use Mastercard or Visa Debit Cards the same fee?

      • Hi holdenmg, I think we have the lowest processing fee in the industry at the moment PLUS we will waive the fee if you share an offer on facebook or twitter. ATM we dont have the technical capability to vary the fee based off the card type.

I'm really glad your asking the question on this stuff, we knew before we started this business that online booking fees are a BIG issue for cinema goers…thank u

  • You must print your ticket and bring it with you to the cinema;

    http://www.ticketbounty.com.au/faq

Can't just show your phone, or use a unique number like other cinema bookings?

    • Yeah…you can just show your phone, especially with Wallis (we are fully integrated with their booking system). We encourage printing for now because they will need to manually enter the booking code (which can cause bottle necks in busy periods)…thanks andy

      • That's a bigger PLUS than you'd think.

Some [older?] ink-jet printers use-up more ink just cleaning jets, ie, after being turned on each time, not to mention having to remember, carry & dig-out a printed form.

        • We know! Every cinema has a different system and process for bookings; it makes it hard for us to move away from paper in our messaging - but we are getting there. Thanks IVI

        • We like that you haven't given-up, thereby helping Aussie companies move up to the Future.

IKEA's checkout scanners can scan Scoopon;s barcodes from a tablet's (eg, Nexus 7) or cell-phone's (eg Samsung Galaxy…) screen.

Maybe up-sell them some hardware, eg, a NFC reader, so we can just place our NFC-device bear it, & wait for the happy Ding to be heard, by the ticket collector.

That's got to be faster / cheaper than getting their ticket-person to slowly check screens manually.

(I don't know of existing NFC systems like that, but a similar system is used - eg, with credit-card-sized fare cards - on MeteroAdelaide vehivles.)

        • Reminder: This deal's title should say: From $7

          (…or at least: From $6.95)

Just seeing some $5 movie prices, maybe it should say $6 (or $5.95)

        • @IVI: Done…lol

        • Our messages crossed in the ePost,,, are $5 prices applicable in Adel.?

        • @IVI: we are testing beacons in our labs (our labs is code for our garage)…we are very keen on beacon and/or NFC tech…but right now we just need to sell some tickets to grow :)

        • @IVI: We have negotiated from $6 in Adel ($6.95 inc processing fee). In Melbourne Classic & Cameo cinemas have tickets from $5 ($5.95 inc p/f) and in NSW Majestic cinemas as well. Cinema Nova in Melb has prices from $9 ($9.95 inc p/f)

  • Saw 500 Foot Journey at the Classic with ticketbounty yesterday. Recommend the movie - travel/food porn.

  • Hope you come to Brisbane soon.

    • Thanks gilbarc. We are working on a chain that has cinemas in Brisbane but the industry is slow to act…we wish we could move faster :)

      • I suppose it's probably also hard to beat the cheap prices we already have in Brisbane (especially now that Palace has dropped their prices, and New Farm Cinemas has reopened with cheap prices, plus of course Cineplex).

        • Brisbane does have good prices…we have a good relationship with Cineplex but with $6 tickets its not worth them working with us now :)

  • Feedback on site's movie gallery front page:

    Can't read 2nd movie's title, on 10.1" netbook.

Maybe fewer, but larger, thumbs… per line…?

Or… if hovering could display each title…?
