    jv, the CAT5e standard was merged into CAT5. New CAT5 cables should be equivalent to CAT5e cables.

        Yes :/
        That's probably why a lot of manufacturers still mark them as CAT5e.

        The ones to dodge are the CAT6e cables - no such standard exists.
