Cheap prepaid SIM with data for overseas visitors.

In the past I have got some $30 prepaid SIM from Capitol Square (Sydney) comes with some talk time and 2GB of data, is this still a good deal?

  • Have you tried looking at using Yatango free trial? :)

    • You need to port in a number (from a cheap SIM maybe) to avoid the $10 charge.

      • You can get an Amaysim SIM for $1 delivered on eBay.

    Amaysim…
Get their As You Go plan flat 12c per minute calls, 12c per text, NO connection fee rip off and add a $10 1gb data pack to it. The data pack can be ticked as auto renew or not to avoid the usual telco data rip off.

Ditto to amaysim. Don't forget to use refer a friend for the $10 credit.

  • Thanks guys! Got an amaysim at last, about to activate but noticed the unlimited plan is currenly 40% off. I did not go through the process yet, but I assume it will work out to $24 (normally $40). Is this correct?

What's this refer a friend credit?

  • And in response to your question about the 40% off, check out this thread. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/154978

  • This is excellent guys! Thanks for recommending amaysim, $9.90 data pack on the as you go plan is all there's needed. Silly me paid $2 for the sim at woolies when there's 3 hour free delivery within CBD and I'm right in the centre of Sydney CBD.
