170

Not the nicest drink, but not bad either.

Presumably the same price where stock exists, good luck!

Arizona Iced Tea is quite nice ($2 per can from Woolies).

$3 dollar 1 litre bottles from Asian grocery stores. I forget the brand but it just tastes the same as Lipton.

Ice tea is really just sugar + water + teabags anyway, easy to make your own so long as you have a fridge and a jug.

Indeed. The Arizona ones are 500mls if that makes a difference. Thanks for the tip though, will be sure to try it out in prep for spring/summer.

        • @scrimshaw:

I think I know which one you're on about. Green bottles. They taste superior to Lipton. My favourite is the aloe vera.

The ordinary, non sparkling/fizzy Lipton Ice Teas are delicious, IMO. You will find them at most supermarkets, often with the 1.5L bottles on special too (like 2 bottles for $6). Good for picnics or just keeping in the fridge or whatever. Diet versions are also available. I love the peach flavour :)

BUT this sparkling nonsense is best steered well clear from. It's nasty, horrid stuff lol. I don't know who thought that fizzing up a mild tasting beverage would be a smart idea. I think the bubbles are far too harsh for any ice tea flavour. Ruins it completely. Tasted kinda metallic, even.

the fact they used sparkling water… doesn't really suit iced tea

this stuff is awful… yuck !!!

  • They should have just mixed the coke with ice tea. Perfect match.

and the gin, tequila, vodka, rum, triple sec, and lemon… ;)

      • Yes, Coke is great for everything!

Can confirm they have this at Riverton WA, not a fan so didnt buy it.

  • Bought one pack 2 days ago in Reject Shop Broadway NSW.

  • Had some at Roselands - best before date is 8/14. I quite like the taste, although you can't drink too much of it.

  • Thanks OP, 33c a can is a cheap drink for guests

    • +8

      That you dislike?

      • +7

Guests that stay too long and your too embarrassed to ask them to leave.

So every half hour, you serve this drink. They will eventually get the message

The original Liptonice was really nice, then they changed the flavour & stuffed it…way to go Lipton, give yourselves an uppercut! :/

  • Nice, do they have the sugar free version?
