I know this is not the best price but hey, Costco does have fantastic life time warranty services, if things goes wrong just take it back and get refund, but however it's kind of a deal breaker if you dont have Costco membership already.

Thats only if it is lifetime. You cannot tell when they might change their policies.
People in the US were abusing the policy so they changed it to 30 days I think.
Surely they can't change it retroactively.
Not sure how legal it is. But I'm sure they will make a way to do it.
Thats what big companies do to shaft their customers. lol.
Everything they can do as long as they can find a loophole in the law, thats how criminals get away with things. A logical person will think "no way they can do it" and BAM the law says "go ahead and do it"
I just wished people would stop advertising it everywhere about "Lifetime Warranty", because its bound to start a abuse cycle and get it changed in Australia's Costco.
It all just one person doing it then the whole Australia does it, and people start dubbing it the "Free TV Upgrade Policy".
If they were to change it, I believe the change would only occur to items/product's bought after the change in policy.
I'd have thought the same. In the US it seems like thats also how they applied the change of policy.
Best way to keep it going, is don't give them a reason to change it. lol.
Promoting it on Ozbargain is just asking for it to happen.

I thought that you have to keep your Costco membership active to have this lifetime warranty… otherwise you just get standard statutory rights of 1yr warranty from date of purchase.
Yep and it not really a warranty it's a lifetime satisfaction guarantee
So if I buy this and in 20 years time I am no longer satisfied with my purchase, money back?
Technically yes, but would need to be a active member in those 20 years. People been abusing it with console and tv upgrades in the US for ages and even would buy top of the line TVs for sporting events and return a week later for a full refund.

if so I'd pass and recommend so. you'd probably have trouble with blu ray movies from our region.
Lol no. Costco Australia products are mostly if not all locally sourced from Australian distributors
its actually a decent price not sure what the cheapest is though. If you factor in lifetime warranty it may be a bargain.
