D-Link DIR-615 E4 DD-WRT Help

Hey Guys
I got a D-Link DIR-615 E4 from this sale - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/93798

I am finally trying to put D-WRT on it but I'm not sure how to do the editing on the DD-WRT firmware.

I tried to download the Firmware that a OZB member posted that was already edited but the link is now dead.

Anyone able to help me out?

    Just downloaded the DIR-615 D-Link firmware from DLink Au and opened it in a Hex Edit and compared it to the DD-WRT and it had the same code

    Just flashed it, all working in AP mode both Wireless & Ethernet but the lights on the Router for the Ethernet connect are not working now. The only lights on it that are on are power light. Both Ethernet and Wifi lights are off and I do have things on and using ethernet

    this normal?

    It's been a long time since I did that…

    Did you use DD-WRT build 14896 for Rev E3? That was the one we got working. The reason we needed to change the hardware ID is because we're using Rev E3 firmware for the E4 revision router.

    If I remember correctly, I don't think E4 firmware was available at the time and people had some problems with the latest E3 build at the time.

    Im using this one on my DIR-615 E4

    DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/25/13) std - build 21061

    I used the dir615e3-fatory-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin file. I then downloaded the latest D-Link Firmware from D-Link AUS then I opened both in a Hex edit program, scrolled to the bottom and checked code, they were both the same so didn't have to change it.

    I then flashed it and its working but the lights are not which kinda bugs me.

    Any ideas mate

      All I really remember was:

      -E4 wasn't available
      -Solution was to use E3 but the latest build didn't work properly
      -We tried build 14896, it worked.

      As you can see, 21061 was released on 2013-04-22 so anyone who bought it back then wouldn't have tried it.

      Can you access the router setup? If you can then I guess it's flashed. Not sure about the lights.

    Yer everything works fine, I use it as a AP for ethernet & wifi connections but its just the lights that don't work, no ethernet 1,2,3,4 lights or wifi light, just power

    Do you know if the DIR-825
