Paid $2.20 and you get a buffet, 100% bargain!!!

I recently renewed my RSL membership in Merrylands with same price but i have to renew for 5 years to get that price. $11 - 5 years

However, only get $10 OFF for the birthday buffet, and some other offers which are useless to me…

Have to wait until your birthday month to use the free buffet voucher. Good if born July or August I guess.

You can use the free buffet voucher & the free drink voucher on same day. Great for cheap Valentines Day date for those born in February?

Not to mention they also have this weird rule that you can only use it on your birthday in the following year?

I joined in April, my birthday was in June and they said no you can't use it until the next year. I asked her to explain but she made zero sense so I just gave up..

        • I actually got this clarified and the person who signed me up was just a nong. They are giving me a replacement voucher even though the time has expired for me to claim the b'day free buffet :)

  • Club Troppo here we come!

    • Dude that shut down years ago. About the same time as Iguana Joes.

      • Yeah, I vaguely remember Troppo getting shut down for too many sexual assaults occurring on premises? Then they opened a week later under a new name?

        • The story I remember hearing was there were too many brawls due to carloads of yob males from Sydney going there for a cheap night out. Cover charge was low apparently. They tried hiring extra bouncers, but in the end just gave up. Found this:

        • @spacecowboy: I think cover charge was $10 when I was going (early 2000's) but it was free entry if you went in before 10:30pm. So we'd get there at 10:29. My ozbargain spirit started young :)

We hated the Sydney yobbos at the time, but now I look back and laugh about them.
