    this drive is fugly, I'd rather get the lacie or pay a bit more for a MyBook.

      Your perception of the visual aesthetics of the drive has no bearing on whether it's a good bargain or not

      As its external and you may see it a lot, its design can be an important to a buyer, so I agree appearance is a valid reason for a vote (either positive or negative).
