$2 saving compared to $99 from centre com. For an extra $21 you can get a WD passport 320gb from MSY ($118).

    $0.39 per gb - 250gb from dse
    $0.37 per gb - 320gb from msy

Still if you are only needing 250gb, then this is a good deal so I will vote for it.

for around $30 more, you can get 500GB from COTD (LG branded)…

True… too bad its over lol.

      • Just highlighting the fact that the deal is not as good as COTD :)

        • True, but you can't really compare a catalogue price with an expired one-day-special.

        • Why is that automatically a better deal? If you've got someone whose portable external storage requirements are going to be no more than say 200GB for the next few years, then what sort of person spends an extra $30 buying them a 500GB just because the cost/GB is lower?

  • Hmmm… which one would be a better deal, this $97 WD 250GB and $98 Lacie 320GB at OW?

    • lol… what do u think?

  • Is this instore at OW? Could probably price match? Although I seem to recall something about OW no longer doing the 5% discount…

    • Don't think so. I think they had a clearance of these ones from a previous post…

    • The 5% price match is still on their website. In fact I used it the other to buy a camera. Any source on hand?

Based on the fact that Officeworks have the 320gb version of the same drive for $99, this is definately not a bargain.

    • +1 for 320GB @ OW
Also expensive than HV => -ve

  • For those in BrisVegas, Computer Alliance still have the LG XD1 320GB USB HDD with eSATA for $99.
