I agree as well as I have one. Flimsy plastic tray and stiff rubber at the front so next to nothing gets picked up.

I was feeling bad coz I bought a dustpan & brush for $3 or $4 last week from Woolies. After reading the above reviews I don't feel so bad.

They've been this price for ages. Needed to buy one last year when I moved out… even I knew that this was a piece of crap (very flimsy, and the rubber was wonky and stiff as others have mentioned), so I ended up with a slightly less crap one from Big W or something.
Using these cheapo ones to clean up leaves and possum poo in the back…

they have always been $1… the older version (blue ones) had more bristles than the purple ones. I use these as a giant toothbrush to clean my bike's gears and chains :P
anyhow the trick to use these is to sweep the brush at an angle to the rubber piece so the dust can actually be swept into the pan.
I have this one, its a piece of junk.
The rubber piece at the front of the pan isn't flat, and the whole unit is flimsy so you can't apply downward pressure to flatten it, so dirt just gets brushed under the front lip.
