Shows how much margin is in Dyson products.

    • +17

And how much each of us wants one of them.

    • still plenty of fat even after the 40% off.

James Dyson needs to get paid. (on top of his $4.4 Billion net worth)

    damn it! I bought a DC59 Animal during the eBay TGG 20% sale… now I regret it…

    • same here, what a pity

      • +7

        suck it up!

    • -1

Ah me too. This is annoying.

    • "ditto" :(

  • Is this cheaper than the TGG 30% off ebay deal a few months ago?

    • +1

Yes. about 50 bucks cheaper now…

      • +4

I remember the DC34 was about $180 with 30% off. That's the same price as it is now with 40% off. Which means TGG wasn't using RRP prices during the sale.

        • I bought the DC59 Animal from the TGG eBay 20% sale… that cost me $446.12
Now, they have it on Dyson website, after coupon, $389.4

A saving of $56.72 (exclude postage cost for TGG eBay)

        • @abc: I will try… thankyou!!!

        • @abc:

Can someone post a pciture of the discounted price from the website to claim this from TGGs? Keeps timing out for me :(

        • @leyton01:

Got it - jsut had to keep trying.

        • @leyton01: care to share?

  • Needed a charger for the handheld- not recognising the code.

      Well that sucks

    • IF, you know what I mean…

  • +1

Trying to buy one but on checkout it says my basket is empty…

  • Are you able to buy a stick accessory to turn a handheld into a handstick?

    • That's what I want to know. I was thinking of buying the cheaper handheld with no stick and telling Dyson I broke/lost my stick and need to buy a replacement.

If they wanted to be pro consumer, they should have included all the tools. Even if you buy the expensive stick (good for floors only), you don't have the brush attachments the DC58 comes with, which are good for close range cleaning (like shelves, PCs and TVs).

      • You can get a replacement one just call them

and we do have the full set for the mini brush it is the DC59 animal which is the 58 with the stick

        • And the DC59 animal has the DC58 mini brush with a stick

        • Will they require proof that you own a DC59 and not a 58? Can the mini brush be attached without the stick?

        • @sealedsoul: Really? So are there any DC58 attachments not included with the 59?

        • @lostn:
we ask for serial number unique to the model and there is nothing the 59 animal has that the 58 does not, only the DC59 has no mini brush bar

        • @sealedsoul:
just to clarify there are two models for the DC59 a dc59 and dc59 animal

        • @sealedsoul: What I'm asking is, if you buy a DC59/Animal are there any attachments you would want that the DC58 has which the DC59 doesn't?

I want both floor cleaning and car cleaning. I don't want to have to buy both models.

Can you operate a DC59 without the stick?

        • @lostn:
yes you can operate the DC59 as a handheld

        • @sealedsoul: I am just wondering what are the differences between animal version and non animal? Thank you

        • @Lulabby:

The Animal version has a mini motorised tool. Only difference.

        • Sorry to bother you, if i buy dc 34 which is handheld but i want to use it as a handstick as well. I do have a dc37. Do you think thte stick from dc 37 can fit dc 34? or we can order a stick to make dc 34 a handstick one. your answer is appriciated..

        • @rav_stk: I've been told the answer is no.

      • Nope - I have tried this as I had the same idea. The stick does not work on not-stick versions.

        • thanks for confirming

    • Careful as the models are not compatible with each other.

Do some Googling and look for corresponding model numbers. Eg The DC44 stick may work with the DC34 they are practically the same.

However it all gets confusing as there are 2 different models of the DC44. With these models the battery is not compatible with each other as there was a design fault with the original http://taner-riffat.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/dyson-dc-44-anim…

    • There are two models of the DC44 we fixed the issue of the trigger function, they are the same unit with a modification to the battery

And you can not get a stick for handheld models, only replacements

      • That means the batteries are not interchangeable as the "old" battery will not fit in the "new" model.

        • Technically speaking you are correct, the only modification was we screwed the batteries in on DC44 B

        • @sealedsoul:

I beg to differ. If you look at both batteries the terminals are located in different places. Even if you cut the screw tabs off the DC44 B it will not fit in the original DC44 main assembly :)

I think easily (non screwed) interchangeable batteries are a better idea though as 20min runtime is often lacking and it would be nice to be able to change batteries easily like a cordless power tool.

        • +1

          @abc:

That is true but we would not sell an old battery for the new model

      • What if you own a 59 and lost your stick?

Up above you said you can buy the attachments by calling them.

Can you buy DC58 attachments for the DC59?

    • No, apparently Dyson won't sell these to you unless it's to replace a stick model of which you need proof of ownership. Had to get it on eBay from the UK, ended up costing close to $200AUD for the head and stick, but worth it, makes it a much more useful device.

  • +3

    Would Masters beat by 10%?

    • +1

I called them, they said yes if I would go down to the store and show them how to do it in front of them. I'm working now and can't leave so I can't really travel so I bought it online.

This is the Bibra Lake, WA store. Best to call your local store to confirm.

      • +1

Order online NOW before the code gets expired :)

A potential extra 10% discount is too much to risk when you are already receiving 40% off :P

  • I still got away with TGG 20% on the DC25 ~$320. But now I can buy the turbine head :)

  • I don't get it, why do people get those small portable versions? I would imagine they wouldn't be all that great. Am I totally wrong? How do they compared to the barrel versions?

    • +1

The portable are more for a "spot clean" or if you live in a small apartment. They are designed to be "backup" machines (eg. you mount them on the wall next to the powerpoint) so you don't need to lug out the big heavy corded vac for a small cleanup.

      • I use my 58 for spot clean and to do the stairs. They are great for stairs with the powerhead. Also we use for furniture and car.

  • DC54 Animal @ Masters for $540 seems like a good buy (after price match)

    • +1

Can you price match a product if you have to use a code on checkout? After all, it's not the advertised price!

      • I don't think they would allow it. You'd have to get a dumb cashier

    • Is this possible?

      • one can only try

  • +1

Would have been all over this, but recently bought a Miele (wish is fantastic). Amazing prices. +1

    • +1

Was just going to type… "And to think, I've just decided to go with a Miele instead!"

      • +1

I got the Miele s6320 - absolutely fantastic.

        • I was looking at the S6230. Same thing, just different heads, etc. Just have to see if I can get someone down here to match BingLee's $348 price tag!!!

  • +1

OMG why why why! I bought the handstick vacuum like 2 months ago with only 20% off… grrr

  • Just bought the dc54 animal pro. Thanks OP.

  • Thanks, best Deal ever

  • Can anyone recommend a model in the handheld range? They all appear the same to me!

  • sorry - ignore!

  • DC34 - $179
    DC58 - $239

Is DC58 worth the extra $60?

    • Only if you want the Animal head.

      • +1

and extra power and battery life

  • Whats the best accessories attachment for cars on the handheld DC44? not really clear what attachments works best…

    • Animal head.

  • Do i have to be PWC staff to get this deal? Damn paid $480 before mother's day, redeemed a tool kit worth $99 though

  • +1

    The site is getting hammered!

  • TBH this code is for PWC staff only

Not sure if dyson will honour it

  • +1

Dyson Site seems to be copping it from OZB'ers

Can someone tell me the difference between DC Animal Pro and DC Allery (Both Barrel)
I compared on mobile (iOS) and it showed no difference at all.

Do they still sell the old heavy motorhead, can that be attached to animal pro?

    • +1

The difference between DC54 Animal Pro and DC54 Allergy is the additional heads you get, the DC54 Allergy come with the Carbon fiber turbine head and a mattress tool, while the DC54 Animal Pro comes with same Carbon fiber Turbine, mini tangle free head, hard floor swivel head, flexible crevice tool, stubborn dirt brush and soft dusting brush.

The DC23 motorhead is not part of the current range so hard to find, the motorised head does not fit or operate on the new machines, but all upright machines have motorised heads

  • They better have 40% off for replacement parts too, I need a new motorised head for the DC58.

    • Not allowing the discount on the charger I need.

  • error while buying spares for my vacuum?

The Promotion Code entered has not been recognised

    • +1

crap it emptied my cart grrrr :@

    • yeah, it emptied my cart :(

      • Try it again the code still works :)

    • Not allowing spares.

      • Did for me.

  • I was looking to buy some accessories and this is perfect, many thanks OP!

PS: Just placed the order and no issue, have also received the order confirmation email.

  • Site's dying. Everytime I try to checkout the contents of my basket disappears.

  • So slow :@

  • I called on the phone about accessories - their system has crashed.

This Dyson attachment OzB has is mildly surprising, I guess there's a lot of users who are single, thin and neat.

Masters should price match it plus 10% off
    that's 50% off RRP
