Destiny Ghost Collectors Edition [Xbox One/PS4] $203 Delivered @ JB Hifi

113

If you missed out on Amazon Destiny Ghost Collectors Edition and the 3 copies EB Games had, JB Hifi has had it since this morning and will most likely sell out today.

Get it fast if you were after the Ghost edition

If you have a US PS+ account, I would not recommend a local copy as the digital codes will most likely be region locked.

    That's nearly half a ps4.

  • $203 for a PS4 game…What a bargain!

  • +1

But think of the value of it in 10 years time.. it'll be worth literally fractions of that $203.

  • +6

Actually this deserve to be in Forum since it is not a deal. Just a store with stock.

    • +1

I've seen more posts on Facebook about this than the world cup, might not be your cup of tea but lots of people have missed out on amazon, or had a uk order cancelled from game uk and obviously had no chance with eb, anyone snapping one up is saving $50 from a uk price and were not likely to get more stock from amazon us cheaper than jb's price now

      • +7

thats funny cause ive not heard a single thing about this till this post

        • +1

You can even check eb loyalists flocking to jb to nab one on their facebook page if you doubt

        • +1

@Tal_Shiar: i shouldnt need to check you say there more about this one game then the world cup on facebook. it should show up multiple times in my news feed. im a fan of bungie eb games CNET Engadget slashgear gizmodo ign lifehacker on facebook plus more and ive still not heard about it will this so called deal.

        • @holden93: obviously you don't havany gaming friends and aren't in many if any groups

      • +1

Yes I agree but a deal does not mean a store selling an item with rrp with stock.

I am one of the few that get shafted by EB and bought one from jb this morning. It is good to know that you can preorder but rrp is really not a deal.

        • if you really 100% wanted it you would go searching for where you could get it and keep an eye out incase they came back in stock.
ozbargain is just that a place for bargains.
RRP has no place around here.

  • +1

Dammit, strictly limited to 1 per customer? I wanted 5.

  • +2

Hard to buy not knowing if the game will live upto the hype!

    • alot of people are playing the alpha and enjoying it, but you're right.

    • I played the alpha and it is quite fun but it is too little to know about the game yet. I guess Beta will give a better picture of what Destiny is as a whole.

  • Do you need PS+ to enter the dlc codes though? I would assume that you can just enter the code on the store, download the content, switch to your US account and then play the content?

    • No need for PS+ but you do need an account to input the DLC. Im not too sure about how ps4 games work with region specific DLC stuff. I had games in ps3 that will not use the us DLC when I play in my AU account and some game that does. Not too sure the criteria.

  • Cool lunch box, but ill pass

  • Hell yeah! Thanks for this, would have missed the pre-order otherwise.

  • +2

    not really a bargain…..

  • -2

Not a bargain, plus it will come with a Aus DLC code, any smart PS4 owner would have a NA account and would just buy this for 150 on amazon :p

    • +1

Not really a valid neg unless you can provide a source of more stock

      • -2

It was only announced yesterday and isn't even up on the ebgames or ozgameshop yet, so its still premature to say its a bargain.

        • +2

          EB have no stock left.

"Unfortunately the Ghost Edition was only available in extremely limited quantities and sadly we have since exhausted our allocation of this stock."

But highly doubt you can get a bargain for this with such high demand.

  • +4

Don't know why people are saying this isn't a bargain?
True its only selling for slightly cheaper than rrp, but it is sold out everywhere else worldwide including eb, gamestop US and amazon.
Demand is extremely high and the value of this item will only continue to go up, already selling for $350+ on ebay.

    • +1

      I agree

    • This deal was what triggered me to actually create an ozbargain account. Without this deal being posted I never would have been able to get this edition!

    • -3

Because it is RRP. Comparing it against eBay overpriced Broden does not mean this is a deal. So if Harvey Norman sold out of a vacuum cleaner at RRP and you can get it from Dick Smith since they have stock, is that a deal or just something worth telling people but not a deal?

      • +1

        from the deal posting guidelines…

Did someone else post the deal already? Search for your deal.
Is this really the best price on the web? Check for the lowest prices.
Is the cost of postage, fees or other costs included?
Is this deal available to Australia?
Is there enough quantity? Ensure there is adequate quantity.

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guidelin…

what is the real bother of it being RRP if it's the best current price? Dick Smith don't even sell vacuum cleaners, so why waste our time with that analogy or are you clutching at straws to justify a neg?

        • -3

So you can't answer my question and you are throwing a tantrum. I'm not gonna say it again. RRP is not a deal. How it is a bargain when it is the standard price.

I went to my local woolies and found out they sold out of Big M chocolate milk so I went over to Coles and they have it in stock at same price. You don't call that a deal. It is called a store with stock.

Whether you like it or not. It is not a bargain. Regardless of how you compare with eBay, amazon, whatever retailer. It is what it is, standard RRP product.

        • +1

@Letrico: you're the one having the tantrum here, you seem incapable of discussing in a logical manner

          look at your analogies….

@Tal_Shiar:I give up. I guess you think it is a deal when you can get a new iPhone from Telstra when Vodafone and optus is sold out for the same price at RRP.

Keep up the good work you are helping Australia economy by purchasing things at full price which defeat the purpose of this website :)

          @Letrico:

Keep up the good work you are helping Australia economy by purchasing things at full price which defeat the purpose of this website :)

good lord man, where do you hypothesize these absurd analogies from? It's funny that your negative vote goes against the very ethos of this website which you actually believe you are upholding, which you are not

        • -1

@Tal_Shiar: no offence but if you don't understand my analogies you do not deserve to discuss about what bargain means.

My negative vote is exactly what I believe in. Recommended retail price is not a bargain. This "deal" is merely a store with stock which should belong in the forums.

        • @Letrico: I never said I didn't understand them that doesn't mean you're right though! You keep mentioning RRP like it is relevant to this item. It is not

  • Well if you wanna get into semantics, full price is 199.95…
I'll take my $1.95 saving and the knowledge that i just purchased a guaranteed investment as a bargain any day :D
