Site says it finishes Sunday (as it usually is for Woolies late week specials), ad says Tuesday which I assume is a typo.
no, it finishes tuesday. you can see the fine print bottom of the catalogue. on sale until tuesday 8th july please read the catalogue before changing my post.
To recap what I said above, I was pointing out that there is contradictory info on the online catalogue page. The bottom left says "Fri 4 Jul 2014 - Sun 6 Jul 2014" and since Woolies late week specials nearly always finish on a Sunday, I assumed it was a typo on the ad itself. An earlier listed expiry avoids disappointment in case someone was to be unsuccessful in getting the lower price on Monday and Tuesday.
It will end on Sunday & the catalog will be taken off by midnight. Besides, I doubt there'll be any avocados left by Sunday. Last time, I went in on Tuesday when the avocadoes were on late week special ($3.40 for 2) but prices were back to normal & the avocados had long since been cleaned out.
I should also mention that these are rather small avocados, I saw the pack last week at regular price. Larger than the golf ball sized ones but smaller than the loose ones.
The catalog says Tuesday because it's most likely a copy-paste job from the weekly catalog & the designer overlooked the date.
