The Long Midnight Of Barney Thomson, the first book in Douglas Lindsay’s legendary barbershop death junky series, appeared in February 1999. Since then there have been six further novels and three novellas. The seven novels are available in the omnibus, THE BARBERSHOP SEVEN.
This short volume, THE CURSE OF BARNEY THOMSON, is a curate’s egg of short stories and random barbershop scenes that ultimately found themselves on the cutting room floor. They all date from Barney’s time in Millport on the island of Cumbrae, although beyond that they are presented in no particular order. Except, that is, for the longest and final story in the collection, The Adventure Of The Marble Tibetan Head, written in January 2014, and therefore the most up-to-date of all Barney Thomson tales.
Contains 5 short stories:
Pinhead
The Curse of Barney Thomson
Tommy
The Ballad of Rusty Brown
The Adventure of the Marble Tibetan Head
Our records show that you already purchased The Curse of Barney Thomson & Other Stories on a previous order.
I must get around to actually reading more of these sometime soon.
