I totally agree that chaning from Telstra to Optus would most likely only be worth it if 4G is readily available in your area and you have a 4G handset. I wouldn't be changing to Optus with only a 3G handset.
Agreed, I'm with Boost, and the 3G is 2 megaBytes/s. I love it
is Boost charging data per KB or MB?
Got the statement below from the boost home page:
"Included data is charged in per MB increments and will be rounded to the nearest MB at the end of each data session."
It seems to round to the nearest MB, which could mean it goes down, not sure.
@webtherapist: kb
their 3G becomes sucked because of the abuse from their previous 3G unlimited deal, they would have done something or they losing more and more customers, just tried Vodafone the last few days, so amazed with their 4G network in CBD
And sometimes no mobile reception @Coles or Woolworths, that is very annoying when check price on OZB…=.="
That happened to me all the time when I was on Three…. Very annoying and was 1 of the main reasons for changing to boost.
How do you use this with $2 a day plan? I thought they were different sims
Oh really? I assumed you could as the T&C only excludes the Connect4Less plan.
Can anyone confirm if you can select the $2 a day plan with this Sim pack?
Optus website says
http://www.optus.com.au/shop/prepaid/sim-card/30-combi
and then
So does that mean it can be used with the $2 a day plan on 3G only?
Sounds to me that it refers to the 2010 day plans and not the $2 day 4G plan

I will confirm this tonight at an Optus store.
You can definitely activate a $30 sim pack on the 4G $2 days plan.
*edit
Can you buy a bunch of these and use them as a recharge every time you run out?
In my experience, yes! You can activate them as a replacement sim and in addition to replacing your existing sim you will receive a $30 recharge.
can anyone confirm that this can be used for $2 days
I would tell you but every coles I have been to have been sold out
optus is selling them for $19 http://www.optus.com.au/shop/prepaid/sim-card/30-combi

Ok bought one and it works just select $2 days 4g ready when activating sim i now have $30 credit to use within a month with a maximum of 15 days usage great value for $15 ,time to buy a few more .
SIM number not recognised. Call centre advise.. go buy a new pack… fun times ahead.
If you can get 4G service then good or else their 3G is really bad. I am in Perth CBD and my colleague and I always go DAMN Optus when our service falls from 4G to 3G as their 3G is congested and cause our iMessage to stop working due to it being unable to access the internet.
