I thought the phone was pretty crap for the price. Battery capacity of 2400mah and it has 4 front facing cameras. It seems like their main purpose of the phone is to sell more items from Amazon, which, being in Australia makes it even more useless for us.
Plenty of phones have been on fire before.. But this one is the first one that was supposed to be!
no way i'm wasting my $650 on this phone! the other day there was the Huawei G526 on special for $89 - now that's what I call a great deal! can't find a 4G phone for under that price!
Not available outside the US, so obviously of no interest to us at this time. Until it is and we see what the local version specs will be, it's all geekademia
Snapdragon 800 is so last year, and 4.7" 720p screen is the spec of flagship phone from 2 years ago. Camera is decent though, but that won't justify the premium price.
Looks to be tightly integrated with Amazon services — i.e. you won't get Google Play preinstalled unless you root it and chuck on a custom ROM.
While Firefly is cool, it's basically Amazon's price scanner. So yeah, it's a $650 dollar phone that's also Amazon's shopping kiosk.
