Up to $400 (Ducted) $300 (Split) Off Daikin installed, Iskra Air (?All Daikin) Sydney

12

Saw this on the local Courier papers.

Up to $400 for ducted and up to $300 for split system air-conditioners. They do the installation and have 5 year warranty (I think all Daikin have 5 year warranty).

Was going to go with another company until I saw this, although they were cheaper only after discount.

Not sure if this applies to Iskra only, or all Daikin. The first guy I got a quote from didnt say anything about the cash back offer so I am not sure whether it is all Daikin.

Not sure how long this is going to last for since they didnt put dates on

  • update the title to show this is for Sydney area only.

    • Just did

  • +1

I believe this Daikin deal is with any installer, the cash back is from Daikin themselves. So you can use any qualified installer and claim the cash back via Daikin.

    • I got another quote from a different company and they mentioned nothing of this cash back.
Neither was there any mention of this cash back on the official Daikin page.

And also I have not seen the cash back advertised on any other installers.

(although I could be wrong as I didnt see many ads about the airconditioner.)

But updated title regardless to reflect uncertainty.

  • Op what's wrong with you. Where does it say cashback? It's simply them saying upto this amount saving.

Edit: also make sure tht you check their ARCtick authorisation number, contractor license and public liability insurance.

    • My bad, title changed.

Had cash back stuck in my head for some reason. I think they were saying it is a cash back but somehow applied the discount straight away on quote.

      • A bargain is not a bargain unless you know some sort of price and then the discount on that price. There is no price listed here. There is no set discount listed here.

I can go and post a deal saying upto $800 off on a pen i will sell for $1000.

        • I had an 8.5 KW system installed
$3600 Quoted down to $3300 after discount

          Quoted $3800 by another installer

The price includes installation which means price may vary depending on whether they will need to drill extra holes / do extra things on the mains etc.

So I dont see why that cant be seen as a bargain.

        • I am simply pointing out the guideline of posting a deal on Ozbargain.

          | POST a clear title including price and location.

Besides 8.5kw what. Ducted, split, new model, runout model, ducting (which brand?), metal or plastic fittings, type of controller (zone or simple), how many zones, how many outlets, back to back split etc etc.

What you might consider a bargain bcos you got $300 off might not be a bargain at all.

When it comes to comparing quotes from one installer to another unless you have details of every thing they will install, it's like comparing oranges to mandarins.
