Word of caution! If you've bought a physical copy or a digital version of the base game from Origin you won't be able to purchase an EP on Steam unless you have bought the base game from Steam and registered it through Steam.

A great time to get into the Sims 3 franchise if you don't already own it, but it won't work so well with other copies of Sims 3 EPs/base game bought elsewhere.

    • Thanks. the last time I played The Sims was 10-odd years ago.

Thanks to the sale, you can get a 'full' (with all DLC) copy of the Sims 3 for only $158.80. That's right, EA would normally like you to pay over $480 for a 5 year old game…

    • The Sims is one of a kind. Though it does slow down my comp.

I'd love to purchase the game as I fondly remember playing the original but can't help but feel for they cripple the base game these days to make way for all that DLC. At least offer a reasonably priced 'All the DLC' pack!

      • It is rather insane. The Original Sims was great without any expansion packs(though I installed several later on). But that was so long ago, and kids are more easily entertained.
        Man, I'm old.

    • Ever since The Sims 1, they haven't had a complete pack for the series…

10 years ago, I remember seeing The Sims Fullhouse at EB. I imagine finding that gem in good condition would cost a tonne now.

      • or it would cost nothing if you sail the high seas yarrrrr
