hey rep do you think you could do a deal on a pair of red 1461s?
Sorry, we do not have red 1461, but we do have black 1461 @ $131.95. thanks!
as sennsfumi asked are they made in the UK or China
as I understand all docs are now made in Chinathe docs I bought were made in China and the leather was terrible!!!!
as much as I tried I couldn't wear them in - always blisters on the back of the heel, can't even wear themNo - some are being made in the UK again.

The Vintage series is supposed to be made in the UK
http://www.drmartens.com/us/Mens/Mens-Boots/VINTAGE-1460/p/1…These ones look like they were made in China or Thailand or Vietnam
http://www.drmartens.com/us/Womens/Womens-Boots/WOMEN%27S-14…The last pair I bought (a couple of years ago) were made in Thailand.
Quite a different shape to the English ones. The new ones are much looser around my ankle than the old ones were, even after 20 years of stretching.
Still, my new Thai ones are holding up just fine so far. Can't vouch for Chinese ones though.
Maybe try Vegan Wares - they have a lot of Doc Martens-style shoes, made in Melbourne.
It really depends on which model of Docs. you are purchasing. If you go for black smooth, the leather will be hard and stiff; but titles with "nappa/ELk leather/elate/barnie " all have very soft leather. We will be more than happy to help you in selecting right items. thanks!
MIE's are made in the UK but have a substantially larger price tag attached plus are usually the more individual styles. The rest are made in Thailand from memory. There is a difference in the sole (MIE's aren't see through) and the leather (MIE's tend to be thicker and better grain). However, some people hate the MIE's complaining they are too stiff etc. Others (like myself) will only buy MIE's as I find they are the closest representation to what I owned 20+ years ago.
You should always check out the US site (which ships to Australia). Shoes regularly get as low as $30 a pair. It may just not be what you're after! http://www.drmartens.com/us/Sale/c/Sale
not worth Jack if they aren't the UK ones…
I had a second hand pair of doc's I wore for years, event though they where VERY well worn when I got them… (UK) then I thought these are awesome bought myself a brand new pair, (just after they switched over - unfortunately it wasn't well known at that stage) and they didn't even last a year… they where crap.
