quad core will do the processing for the smart hub- i have an older model samsung tv and trust me it needs alot of processing power as its sooo slow. the only fault i have with samsungs.

Well I got the info from the OP's post and compared it with the info on the 6400 on the Samsung AU website, like I said I could not find it on Samsung AU website.
samsung dual core is fine for me, i mainly use plex….
Quad core relates to the numbers of cores the processor used by the TV has, the more cores the faster the processor the faster the TV (e.g. EPG load times), newer TV now all have quad core, whereas cheaper models tend to only have dual core processors.
Looks like the other difference is the dual tuner. I got my 60h6400 for that price
I got a 6300 for $1180 from HN yesterday. This is ok if you want 3D and the second tuner… but there are better deals if you just want a good 48" Samsung
The H6400 is definitely quad core I have a 60H6400. And agreed haggle with JB especially at this time of year, the 60H6400 can be had around this price.. 3D is simply incredible, show guests Avatar on 3D bluray and they'll subscribe to the fad.. awesome..

no we are not Grey importers we provide full Samsung Australia warranty. TVs are difficult to be grey import as they are country specific due to voltage requirements.
Not all models are listed up. For example we had all the specs before Samsung updated their website.
Well Samsung did have the 6500 model listed before but it has been taken down. Maybe Samsung have stopped manufacturing this TV?
Anyway after doing little research on Staticice I will be negging this deal as this TV is cheaper elsewhere. Kickstart Computers are selling the UA48H6500AN that was listed on the Samsung website for cheaper. $1493.40 including overnight shipping

You cant compare on a different model
If you can provide the official specifications from Samsung and prove that this is a completely different model with different feature sets then I will remove my neg.
By saying that this an AN is not an AWXXY, this could mean it is a different colour, but both are UA48H6500, which both models should be identical with features.
There is no evidence anywhere that Samsung ever sold the UA48H6500AWXXY. At least Samsung had the AN listed on their website

Lol, I didn't ask for a difference between the 6400 to the 6500. Kickstart computers are selling the 6500, the same one you are selling! It just has a few letters different from your model. Please proof read and get your facts right before commenting or posting something on OzBargain!

2) Quad core in the 6500 (no idea what a quad core is relating to a TV :)
