Total of $444 or $37 per month (for 12 months).

    • You still have to add the $75 install.

      • Free install in most metro areas

  • +11

    $37/month still too much. :D

    • +3

Yes, very expensive if you're really only interested in GoT (yes, I'm in that category)

      • +2

Bit late for that isn't it?

  • +2

Is this good deal? $74 a month is expensive…

    • way expensive I think.

  • +1

Get a second box for $10 a month, give to a friend with a satellite and spit the bill.

    • +1

Just a clarification: how is the satellite part working?

      • +6

He never said anything about it working…

    • You could use a place shifter like slingbox for the second one I guess.

  • grab the 3mths plus $200 jb hifi voucher instead.

    • +1

      3 x 74 = $222 (>200). No deal

I've been looking at getting Foxtel… when it comes to Foxtel deals is this a pretty good one though?

    • +1

They're all lousy. If you want to go Foxtel you need to look at what channels you want, then work out the best deal accordingly.

  • Might just take this deal up.

  • Do you have to be existing teslstra customer?

  • And if you already have a bundle with them, would you get the extra 10% discount?
That would make it 39.95 per month including installation or 33.71 per month plus installation. Doesn't sound bad.
Plus, I can imagine you can swap between sports and movies every month, right?

  • Q22

So if I choose the Sport package, will I still be able to watch shows such as HBO’s Game of
    Thrones?

No. To watch shows like Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad, for example, you would need to select the ‘Movies’ package. Alternatively, you could sign up for the ‘Movies’ as well as ‘Sport’ Pack, however this would be at normal cost of $25 per month (i.e. only one of the ‘Movies’ or ‘Sport’ packages is included as part ofthe free offer).

    Lol

  • Pay TV Noob Question:

I'm only ever interested in getting Pay-Per-View sports events such as Boxing and MMA fights (ie. most of them are on Main Event). Are there any barebones pay-TV packages? I once tried to register and pay online on Top Rank's official stream but they wouldn't take my Aussie money/location :-(

  • I tried calling them on that 1800 number and quoting "take2" but they said it was the wrong code!

  • I called this morning and was also told it was the wrong code. He said it should start with V. When I couldn't tell him the correct code (I asked if he could just tell me the code!) he spoke to his manager and confirmed it was the correct code and he processed it no problem.

  • Anyone else having trouble with the code or have an alternative? As above it seems one person was successful and one failed. I will be ringing tonight and will report my results, but just wanted to check if anyone had any further info first?

  • Just rang and was able to join in 13:43 according to my phone. Installer comes out next week.

For anyone who loves AFL, NRL & the ponies, this is a great deal. One example, I live in Adelaide & the showdown this week is a sell out. I am a Crows member but already lost a "bet" and had to give both my tickets away to family friends this week. If I want to watch it on TV, it is telecast 1.5 hours delayed.

So around half time of the actual game, people will be texting me or social media either telling me the Crows are mugs or "what a win". I guess I COULD turn off all electronics for this time and not leave the house to see which cars are driving around displaying their flags, but I would rather just watch it live on Foxtel. My only regret is I didn't find this deal earlier.

    Much respect to the rep.

    • Any problems with the code "take2"??

      • +1

None at all. Operator knew exactly what I was talking about. Andrew was his name.

        • I wonder if it's different for different states

    • I'm glad livestream and nrl app exist
