the deal posting rules are pretty clear…
This would have made a bigger impact in terms of donations made if left on the front page. I know there are posting rules, but what about common sense? I know this is a deal site first and foremost… but this being moved to forums where it wont get seen bugs me.

Yup, when BS like free Onedrive increases make the cut as 'deals', why can't we have a little bit of latitude for a good cause…especially when the OP has provided the same kind of precedent as evidence.
The moderation around here has really gone to the dogs of late…
The moderators have a lot to content with. They are stuck between two parties. 1 who want to follow the rules because rules are meant to be followed. the other who put common sense first and believe that each post should be based on its merits and its benefit to society and the ozbargain community as a whole.
Following the rules is usually easier and gets less lashback from the common sense people, than evaluating each post on its merits, posting a deal thats not strictly a deal, and copping it from all sides by all the JVs out there. My opinion only.
Nah man, that's just a cop out to excuse inconsistency…it's like there's different rules for different posters around here nowadays. More & more we're seeing deal posts moderated differently to identical previous ones from other users…

Sorry but that's BS Stewballs. If there is an issue then let us know. If you want us to leave charity deals up as deals, then that's going against the deal posting guidelines and is inconsistent in the way we have handled these types of deals before.
If however you feel that you want these types of posts as deals then start a discussion on the site discussion forum.
