very true. now i buy better quality, albiet the higher price!
I haven't had an issue with their tools. I've found the screw drivers to be very good (better than the Stanleys I've used), and their pliers/multigrips/sidecutters and they were also way above expectation.
Also, these screwdrivers are made to standard, using a specified metal rather than the cheese in super-super cheap sets.

Each has their own experiences I guess.
saw this too. good deal.
I got the $10 set in the case last year, (which appear to be identical, just have a few more types) and they're really good for the $. Well shaped tips, and seem to be wearing well considering.
Dion. Care to list so people know what to avoid?
Only thing I've had break was the bits in the meister ratchet screwdriver Set.. they're too brittle do use with a drill
I've also heard the g clamps are weak
Everything else has been great
My most recent return was the holesaw bit set..
They were horrible but for the price I was going to keep them for rough work, until the smaller drill bit snapped.
I have used:
Taurus sds hammer drill: great
Workzone masonry bits: no issues besides case cracking when I dropped it on tiles
Table suction vice: great and great value as many people already know here
Workzone 1m alum spirit level: does job but it's a ruler type (not a rectangular cross section)
Angle grinder discs: these did the job but they were the cheap kind that wears out quick, but that was obvious on purchase
Not much else as I already have most of the tools I need, but none have let me down so far.
Yeah I bought a tree lopper/saw on a extension pole.
Seemed to be made from slightly hardened cheese
Will wait till next year if its drop to 2$
It is cheaper because they no longer include the POZI drivers, not really worth the effort going there to buy it.
They are CRV.
Never had any trouble with Aldi screw drivers.
For harder work I would use impact driver & correct bits anyhow.
Just be aware that while it is cheap you really get what you pay for with Aldi tools..
I've had numerous items break that I have had to return.
So I would only use these for really light tasks.
