    • thnx i forgot to mention international needs to beable to call korea :)

  • Optus connect4less sells data at $5 per 500mb and calls to sth Korea at 2.5c min plus flagfall.
If you don't make a lot of calls like me it is very cheap, as you don't have to pay for data you might not end up using.
If you make lots of calls, however, there are better options.

  • The $29 prepaid cap from Virgin. $450 of calls includin international and 1 gig of data.

  • What about Lebara? It doesn't include calls, but it's on a pre-paid plan, with 8c/min calls to Korean mobile, and 15c within Australia

    (Internationa Rates/Local Rates

Currently promotion with 2gb data for $10
So, $30 gets you 1 hour call within AU, 2 hours call to Korea, and 2gb data. (Optus 3G network)

Virgin charges you a whopping $4/min to Korea

    • Vodafone network :)

I am currently on their National Plan, unlimited national SMS and calls plus 2GB of data. Had to call the US the other week which they had given me $1 for each recharge I had done, which was 1c per minute.

In Canberra the data is fine, faster than when I was with Aldi

  • Looks like i'm gonna get optus 40$ prepaid. Lebara mini mega was close but that didnt include texts

amaysim is close too but extra forinternational

      • By any chance do you know the call quality of Skype calls when calling the landlines and mobiles in Australia?

        • its pretty good, having said I hardly call landlines ( one call inn two days), mostly mobiles local and overseas. its pretty smooth voice quaility. better than some telecom service providers
