      I have found that most devices that support SD XC will work with far more than 64GB, even if they say 64GB is the limit.

        officially only 16GB and 32GB are supported. You can reformat a 64/128GB card. I'm currently using a 64GB with a DR550GW and it's working great.

    I'm finding it difficult to tell if the new models actually are replacement for this one though ( the front/back 2 channel) or just the 'standard' one - the number system seems inconsistent.

      If not a complete replacement (older models discontinued) then at the very least they are an upgrade.

  Now you have peaked my interest… Might be time to look at replacing my trusty dr400g-hd. Would be nice to be able to use a 64gb card. Prices are a bummer though… Only paid $180 for the 400g about 3 years ago.

      Infringement notices can take up to 4 weeks… So it would be nice to have footage on hand for the same period… Currently 32gb is 2 weeks with my diving habits
