I dont know if there are any workarounds, but I believe the Samsung Gear range of smartwatches required a Samsung phone AND a stock ROM so if you like to install custom ROM's…. "these aren't the watches you're looking for"
Hey mate, here is the guide to pair other android phones with gear git. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLybpJoG6mU . I don't see any need for custom rom or a galaxy phone lol.
That's really cheap!
Cheers for that!

Is this comfortable to wear?
This review says it feels snug and comfortable

It's not too bad to wear and because it's quite light you sometimes dont remember it's there until my notification alert remind me of it. Most of the stuffs are pretty useless for me. The heartrate monitor cant be used when you are actually moving (running etc) why would you have a heart rate monitor if you cant use it during exercise?
I am a gym person and the activities dont support any indoor activities except for pedometer
Having said that though I still love mine . Especially useful to monitor clash of clans alert and I like the find my phone functionality. Sos sms alert to designated person is nice too although I dont think I will ever use it but you never know I suppose
Was pretty tempted to grab one… but watched this review and decided not too… good price tho

That review sound alright
Could this be tweaked to work with any android phone ?
