  • You are so lucky that Digitan don't have stock…ever :P

    • Kuric,

Its one thing to advertise the stock cheap - another to commit and pay up front and have the stock in our warehouse :)

  • Link has conflicting specs. 120GB or 160GB? 1GB or 2GB? T7300/T5250 or the listed here T5750?

Doesn't exactly make me confident in the purchase. There's even a different weight listed in the link! Does that mean it has a smaller battery?

EDIT Alternative for $1049 from Centrecom, HP 2230. Similar specs - same size, around about the same CPU/RAM/HDD (but impossible to say for sure 'cause we don't know what this Fujitsu has).

EDIT2 And plenty other similar options on staticice.

    • Wow Tantryl - you are fast !

The specs were being updated - and it took a few mins to update - I may have jumped the gun in posting - but thanks for picking us up on that.. :P

      All specs updated and correct.

Similar options - dont really make this not a bargain - but hey we are open to all public scrutiny here - You sure are a hard person to please - before it wasnt cheap enough - now there are other brands that are cheaper! Cant please them all :)

      Have a great day!

      ODS.

      • Fast? I posted ~1hr after the original listing… it's right there in the listed times.

Well, bargains don't have to be model and brand specific. If there's something else that does the same job for a lower price, it's not a bargain in my book. The best price on the WD 1TB external USB2.0 drive, for example, isn't going to beat the LaCie 1TB Neil Poulton from HT/Officeworks at the moment. So I wouldn't consider any postings of those a bargain unless they beat that $149 price.

Similarly, we can get something of approximately the same specs for ~$100/10% less. So… not a bargain. And since this model is outdated (over a year since released with a ~2 year old CPU) it's simple clearance stock and the main reason why no-one else is around the same price with this model (because they're out of stock, and not being made any more…).

Which can be a good thing for us ozbargainers - but only if it's better than similar offerings.

EDIT Now obviously you've just editted that webpage. It still says a 120GB HDD by the way. Did you just manually adjust the weight down? Why was it 1.9kg before? There's no mention of warranty on the page either - is the warranty direct with your shop, or a manufacturer warranty? Why isn't it 3 year as the review quoted at the end of the Fujitsu page indicates? Is it a grey import, or through a official Aussie distributor?

  • dont know wt u guys think..but this is not a bargain…..As far as product matters, i think since these laptops are going out of technology quicker thn warrnty period…its best to go for cheaper brand!!

Saw one at MYERS…ASUS one..same specs but with 2.16 gig ram..similer price..

  • Definately not a bargain, considering what was available from HT's run-out clearance last week!

  • Better 12.1" offerings: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=1227729
If don't need an optical drive, 11.6" Acer 1810T is coming :)
