Great price for a Russell Hobbs Microwave.
Its 800 watts and 23 litres, so a smaller unit but Russell Hobbs is generally an OK brand though I doubt they actually make it.
You need to purchase an additional small item to bump the price up over $50 to use the $10 off 'WELCOME' code. I grabbed a $2 candle from the home wares dept. thus the $41 in the title but perhaps people can find something even closer to the required $1.01 to activate it.
Microwave is $49 before the code.
PS Thanks to WNK for linking the additional sale items in this coffee machine thread https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/149454#comment-2060192

Well its Target so if you have any worries they are excellent at returns. The one review on the Target page was quite positive. Lol, no suprises there I suppose.
It was a $89 unit before the sale and Russell Hobbs is hopefully a bit better than a no-namer or KMart type.Figured at $39 and with paypal giving me three weeks to pay before the bank finds out (new business, JOY) it was a done deal. As you said, the return policy is quite good. Thanks
you keep seals in your microwave?
You don't???
Thanks OP, ordered one with a cheap Essential toaster $7.50. Worked out to a total of $46.50.
Thanks OP - my microwave died last week, been drinking cold coffee with no quick warm to reheat…thankfully that will end tomorrow!
Thanks a lot OP. My microwave died a week ago too. Was about to buy a new one tomorrow. Perfect timing…
any knowledge on the outside dimensions of this baby?
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find any, I figured I can sell it for more if it doesn't fit
Bought one instore yesterday, but unfortunately have to return it as it doesn't fit in my kitchen. Didn't measure the exact dimension, but it's about 52 cm wide. And it's heavy at 14 kg.
This one has sold out online now :(
noooooooooooooooooo
Ordered one online, must have been the last one. When it did arrive at my local store it had a huge dent in the side of the box, and in the microwave :(
Looks like a forklift went into it.
Initially the lay-by girl said I have to contact the online people because its nothing to do with the store, I disagreed. So the appliance manager came over and
said the best they can do is give me a refund or offer a similar m/wave closest to the $41 price and give me the $41 discount off the price :/I disagreed some more…
Eventually the store manager came over and apologised for all the drama and offered me ANY m/wave in-store up to $200 for the $41 which I already paid.
So I got myself a Sharp m/wave worth $198 :) Very happy…
Is it worth pulling the trigger?
One shot, one kill
Just pulled it, apparently it's a bit hit and miss on quality with the cheaper ones. But need a new one, the one here is 15 years old and the seals are probably going.
